National Clean Cities Coordinator Meeting
I am in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, experiencing my introduction into the network of the national Clean Cities program. I am looking forward to learning a lot from other coordinators who have been doing this for years. This is a great community of folks, and as a "new kid on the block", I have been welcomed with nothing but enthusiasm and a commitment to bring me up the learning curve as quickly as possible.
Highlights on the agenda are
- Updates from the Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Lab
- Fleet Updates from AT&T, Sysco and the National Park Service
- Industry Updates from CleanFUEL USA, General Motors, Daimler Trucks North America, Clean Energy, and Ford Motor Company
- Screening of the new MotorWeek Clean Cities segments
- Educational and Informational Sessions on
- Fuel Economy Initiatives
- U.L. Certifications and Fuel Testing
- Biodiesel
- Meeting Communities' EV/PHEV Charging Needs
- Top 100 Fleets Competition
- Legislative Updates
- Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conference
I'll try to keep you posted on what I learn, but if you have specific interest in a particular topic, please feel free to e-mail me at kmcspadden@winrock.org.
